The career opportunity
Due to Acquia’s continuing company success and EMEA expansion strategy, Acquia is seeking to appoint an experienced Drupal expert to join the Technical Account Management team to support in the delivery of Acquia’s solutions/services across it’s fast growing EMEA client base.
The role of Technical Account Manager (TAM) is dedicated to providing technical guidance, customer relationship management and Drupal expertise to existing customer groups. The position acts as a key conduit between Acquia’s Account Management team, Engineers and the customer, with the aim of achieving customer retention/revenue objectives and enhanced customer experience. Acquia's TAMs interact with a customer base across a variety of vertical industries (government, financial services, FMCG, pharma, media and gaming), with the TAM team acting as the key advocate for assigned accounts within Acquia, representing the needs of these high-value customers.

The candidate profile
The successful candidate will have a broad background/knowledge of Drupal/general web development, with a commercial flair and strong relationship management skills. The ability to listen, diagnose, solve problems and identify solutions efficiently is essential, with the confidence to illustrate ideas in written, verbal and visual form.
Essential
- Strong enterprise level Drupal experience and proven success in customer relationship management within a fast paced and commercial environment.
- Deep experience of Drupal site and application architecting/web solutions for enterprise customers (including, front-end, back-end and infrastructure layers).
- Understanding of LAMP or IIS/SQL, network protocol layers, security layers and domain models.
- An exceptional and consultative communication style, with astute diagnostic skills and the ability to conduct customer needs analysis.
- Aptitude for building, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of Drupal site recipes (complex sites, multimedia, social networking, brochure sites).
- A professional and inquisitive demeanor, able to engage customers and forge commercial relationships.
- Ability to demonstrate to customers how Drupal can be valuable to their organisations across the enterprise.
- Able to estimate project size/scale, including assessing and mitigating risk.
- Strong attention to detail, with a strategic and forward planning thought process.
- Able to guide technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to partner with internal/external key stakeholders and negotiate mutually agreeable outcomes.
- A passion for the web, open source development and for helping Acquia to continue to build a hot and growing global start-up.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a consulting or agency environment with direct interaction with enterprise level clients preferred.
- Knowledge of, or experience with other CMS technologies and/or open-source technologies is a plus
- A degree level education (preferably within a computer science, technical or business field) or equivalent experience.
- Acquia operates globally and therefore a second European language (preferably French or German) would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
