RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER

• $120k - $140k depending on experience.
• We are an Agile shop using a modified version of Scrum.
• Time-boxed daily stand-ups
• Two-week sprints

Qualifications:

• Excellent work ethic
• Raw talent and/or dedicated learner
• 5+ years experience
• Strong development fundamentals: object-oriented design, separation of concerns, MVC/MVVM design patterns, front-end javascript frameworks
• Experience with cloud computing is a plus
• Relentless problem solver

Here are some things we currently use, so mastery of these is a plus:

• Ruby, Rails, Node.js, JavaScript, Java, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Linux, Solr, Git, GitHub.

We’re looking to add some of the following tools to our tool chest so expertise in any these is a bonus:

• ElasticSearch
• Configuration Management / System Provisioning (Puppet / Chef / Ansible)
• Virtualization / Containers (Docker / Vagrant)
• Messaging (NSQ / RabbitMQ / ZeroMQ)
• CoreOS

• Cloud computing (AWS preferred)
