Solutions Architect / SME - Commerce - 68040

Acquia is seeking a Solutions Architect/SME for our growing Commerce business – someone to work with our sales, marketing, and products and help evangelize the Acquia Platform to our potential customers.  The ideal candidate has a broad background in enterprise e commerce businesses and or software platforms. You should be confident illustrating your ideas in written, verbal and visual forms.

This position will be located in New York , LA, San Francisco, or London.

Summary:

Acquia's Solutions Architects/SME’s interact with potential customers in all sectors - from startups to large enterprises across industries.. Solutions Architects/SME’s communicate how Acquia can help them succeed. You'll research, scope, estimate and present Acquia  solutions for enterprise-grade commerce sites and applications. You'll also act as a key conduit between our business development team and our engineers and consultants, both helping sales staff to better position Acquia’s products and services, as well as bringing feedback from customers back into the development of new products and processes. Some travel is required.

Job Requirements:

  • Deep experience with leading enterprise Commerce platforms (Demandware, Oracle, IBM, Hybris and Magento), site and application architecture, as well as overall Commerce life cycle and ecosystem knowledge.
  • Passion for digital, and for helping us build a hot and growing start-up
  • Deep business experience architecting commerce solutions for enterprise customers, including a working knowledge of order management, PIM, Call Center and Digital Media solutions.
  • Knowledge of the need state of an online merchant.  Must understand promotional calendars, merchandising workflow, pricing rules, etc.  This knowledge at a global scale is preferred.
  • Ability to estimate projects large and small, including assessing and mitigating risk
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent opportunities and delivering on time
  • Strong problem-solving skills, intelligence, initiative, and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (detail oriented)
  • Experience in consulting or enterprise software strongly preferred
