Summary:
Acquia is looking for an engineer who is passionate about DevOps culture and the impact it has on a product's success. The ideal candidate empathizes with development, operations, and product teams, using this perspective to help the business win. Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain continuous deployment infrastructure
- Facilitate feedback loop from operations to development
- Ensure operations has the monitoring and runbooks required to succeed
- Guide the development team in capturing actionable operational metrics
- Assist the security team in audits and compliance activities
- Participate in daily development scrums, chicken in operations scrums
- Participate in planning and QA phases of software development lifecycle
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to varying audiences
- Experience architecting, building, and maintaining distributed applications at scale
- Proficiency with Linux containers, Docker, and related technologies
- Fluency in any of Ruby, Go, Python, or Bash
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- A good sense of humor (or at least the ability to fake it)
Extra credit:
- Open source contributor
- Familiarity with Mac OSX
- Understanding of security incident response and compliance (FedRAMP, PCI, etc)
- Proficiency with Amazon Web Services
- Experience with Cucumber and Capybara or other related technologies
